Transit at Beijing

I booked my ticket from agent
Regina SK, Canada -> Vancouver (air Canada), then I have to stay there for more than 3 hours.
Vancouver -> BJ (air china), I just transit their to 4 hours
BJ -> Ho Chi Minh (Air China)
I don't know whether air Canada will transfer my baggages to Air China or I have to claim my package at Vancouver and then check in again.
Return:
Ho Chi Minh -> BJ (Air China), stay at there for 3hrs and 30mins
BJ -> Houston, TX (Air China)

And with that much layover time, will I make it to my connection flight?

First of all, your transit duration will be enough for all the trips, so you can surely catch your plane. Don't worry!

As for luggage check-in matters, if you hold the connecting flight boarding pass, your luggage will directly be transported to the final destination. Anyway, I still suggest you consult your airlines about this in advance in case!
