Some of them do and it is generally easy to join one. However, to ensure a smooth trip, I suggest you reserve a tour in advance through a trustworthy travel agency online like Travel China Guide.

I will be arriving at 1.00 am. Understand that the train service starts at 6.30 a.m. Meanwhile where are some places where I could wait. In many airports travelers could just rest on the carpeted floors but not sure if this is allowed in BJ. Appreciate some advice

First of all, I wanna remind you that the airport shuttle bus line 2 Night Line may still operate upon your arriving. Therefore, you can take it to the city center and then head for your destination. Anyway, if you wanna stay in the airport for a night, it can be fine. There are many chairs in the hall where you can have a rest till the opeation of the train.

Thanks for your help.

Could someone kindly tell me if it is true (as told to me by a Malaysian) that foreign credit cards are widely accepted in China. He said the hospitals and many shopping outlets don't accept our Visa. If so then I will have to bring along lots of cash for emergency uses.

Is this true, hope not?

No, it can be widely used in the city, especially in star-rated hotels, large shopping malls and large restaurants. Actually, as long as certain outlet accept the pay by bank card (usually the POS machine is marked with Visa), you can surely pay with your credit card. In spite of this, you are still advised to take along enough cash in case!
