About:China Family Reunion Visa

q1 and q2 visa holders must get more than 3 or 4 exits a year?

In zhuzhou hunan psb says if I were to get q1 or Q2 type, I must get more than 2 or 3 exits a year and they will keep renewing yearly. If I don't get exits then I will be expelled forever. Funny. Eh. Is this in this type terms? I am married to Chinese lady, got 2 sons, my own house, two cars (one is about 70000$ suv) and a bank balance which is enough for me to live in China for 10 years without working. all belongs to us rightfully earned by advertising business abroad. Tell me they are joking that I have to get out of country at least 3 times a year? Or is it really necessary? Anyone knows if this is right?

It sounds weird. I don't know which type you will be granted with. If you get multiple Q2 type, it's possible that you have to exit 2 or 3 times when each duration period expires. If it is Q1, I think you needn't get out frequently each year because you get the temporary resident permit if you have valid Q1 type. I think you should confirm with them.

if Q1 you need to exit one time and change it to residence permit and 30 days before the expiration time you need to renew it again, it means in a year you need to get out china twice for Q1 if the PSB just issue you the visa yearly as after the renewal they will require you once again to go out and repeat the procedure to transfer your Q1 into residence permit. But even the Q1 can't be guaranteed fully if the PSB officer will grant the 1 year residence permit as the RP they given to the spouses who married to the local ranges from 3/6/9 months and 1 -5 years. Maybe if you stay in central part of Changsha and owned a house and other property they will give you a longer Q visa. Before we as spouse we are not required to do any exit, me i even haven't do any exit for 4 consecutive years , and even not acquiring any residence permit just an ordinary L spouse visa, but when the new rules were been implemented i have no choice but to do an exit but its ok as long near to the border to do an exit is fine but if your far from the border even you have more than enough it is very costly to travel back and forth and to do the process altroughout repetitively.

But for Q2 you can ask them to have a one entry, and for Q2 if you are married for quite long time they even don't bother to ask the bank accounts for this. Again it will depends to the PSB to determine the requirements. And for one year if you want to acquire a Q2 and the PSB will issue the full 6 months with one entry then you will do and exit twice as well. But Q2 again will depend to the PSB officer if how many months and duration of stay and entry they will issue to you by the time you will apply.

that is why they don't give you a long visa as yours applied is Q2 not Q1. 1-2 years is applicable for Q1 in which after they issued your Q1 within 30 days can be converted into residence permit.

Nope that's not the reason . My wife Company is n Suzhou not in shanghai , Shanghai its just a branch so they said I can get 2 years or more from Suzhou or from my wife hometown Dalian . Chinese Government policy aren't really working well in all terms. Like they said foreigners married to Chinese can get 5 years of stay in china, but when u go to the bureau another stupid stories. Complicated country with everything you do. So next time after my 6 months multiple entry Q2 I will apply in Suzhou no problems I guess. First time Q2 the exit entry bureau said they will grant me 2 times Q2 with 0 entries and then grant me 2 years but now you see another complete different story . So sick people. And now for foringers in any country very difficult to get work permits and visas stuff because chinese government dont want many foreigners to work in china as there are so many chinese seeking work but chinese always choose a foringer than a chinese for some reason. A German work in a English speaking company he doesn't know chinese either just very basic English but has 1 year work permiy granted crazy. Any country is better than china now.

In Shenzhen spouses can acquire longer visa at least 1 year if they apply for Q1 , in china no definite rules in terms of immigration policy, the ruling of 5 yrs that is only written rules but acquiring it is quite hard, but 2 years you can acquire it in some instances beyond that i haven't met any spouse who got 5 years in instant so far. But anyhow it doesn't guarantee also that your wife have a company and been registered in Suzhou you can get a longer one, same with other spouses even they apply the visa in their spouse hometown and owned a properties it can't guarantee that the authorities will issue a longer spouse type, but then no harm in trying.

I think one of the biggest determining factor here as well beside properties and amount of money inside your bank account same as with your Chinese spouse is the race or the nationality of a foreign spouse.

But if you apply for Q1 that can be change for residence permit how come they will issue the Q2 , as these 2 types have difference in terms of length and duration of stay.

as per say individual experience of foreign national in PRC varies whether your married to locals, tourist or legal worker. By the way what is the duration of stay they gave to your q2 type? anyway just be patience time will come you can avail a longer one.

I see I guess Shanghai is very strict because it is the largest city and many forigners working in this city. Well from Suzhou I can get because regarding work my wife company is registered there so no problem at all . Well now they gave me 6 months Q2 Multi entries. This is the same reason I told them first time when I wanted to get this visa they said first need to give two times Q2 visa with 0 entries then they can issue me 2 years. Just soooo stupid people, no human rights so they do anyway they want to. My wife even gave them 100,000 prove of bank statements because last time they said 60,000 yuan for short term 100,000 yuan and medical certificate for 2 years but now 6 months . Anyway I will get it from Suzhou . Never will stop trying and getting this done because I am clean in there systems even they said my records are clean . just for the time being they say so many stories for the people , they think foriengers are easy going not like Chinese like they say need this document foringers say ok and go not Chinese they fight and want to know WHY? I heard the rules will change again . But what I do know is lawoi dont like to live in china, one of my knowing good friend from russia lives here his son get sick always in here he quiet his job and went back to russia because pollution china is no longer healthy place to live.
