About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Tourist Visa (L) to China

I am a U.K passport holder, currently living in Kyushu. I will travel to China on May 3rd. Is it possible to apply for the tourist (L type) in person at the embassy in Fukuoka?

Yes, you can apply in person if you are a temporary visitor to Japan.

Thank you for your reply. I have a working visa for Japan so I'm not sure if they see me as a temporary visitor or not :) I'm assuming the staff at the embassy will speak Japanese or Chinese only?!?!

If you work in there, then you are not a temporary visitor. You can apply through a travel agency instead as required.
