Great Wall reachable by subway?

No, the subway doesn't reach to the great wall. Also there are two ver famous section of Great Wall near the city. Would you min telling me whether u wanna visit Badaling or Mutianyu?

Thank you for the repsonse, Susan. I haven't yet done my homework on the segments of the Great Wall within Beijing City, so I don't know which of the two segments you mention that I should consider going to.

Do you have any information about each of them that might be useful to making a choice?

Hi, I went to Mutianyu last year and it is wonderful. I heard from our tour guide that the Mutianyu is much more beautiful than the Badaling and has less people that Badaling.
The sunset on the Wall is very nice.
I suggest you to go to Mutianyu.
On this website, there is a section providing more detail information about the different sections of the Great Wall and I knew the knowledge from there, so you may also try to have a look.
