About:China Private Visit Visa

Fiance allowed on S2?

Hi,

I have a work and residence permit in China and would like my fiance to visit for 6 weeks in May/June. We will be married in August but for now we only have the declaration of intent published by the town hall with both our names on it and the wedding date. Would this be enough?
Alternatively, would he be allowed to stay 6 weeks on a L Visa with an invitation from myself?

I forgot to say that he was British and Im Belgian.

I think it is ok for him to apply for a tourist L type this time, showing your invitation letter. Generally it will be issued with 30 days, but he can get it extended within China.
