About:Postage Rate of China Post International Parcels

Is he correct in charging me this?

I'm buying products in from china but I think my supplier may be overcharging me! for instance he is charging $8.93AUD or 49.01CNY for a 300gram t-shirt to be shipped to Australia. Is this correct because adding up the amounts from the chart it should only cost $3.40AUD or 18.66CNY.

Ell, the cost varies according to what transport means you choose. Also, there might be some extra fees. As far as I know, China Post charges wrapping fee and requires the senders to use standard wrapping boxes. If the sender don't have the boxes they require, then they buy it from China Post. It isn't cheap. If you have any doubt, you might contact the sender and ask him/her to explain. Or just ask him/her to provide you the receipt China Post gave him/her when the package was collected.
