Indian, UAE Resident wants to Visit China and travel to India without returning to UAE

I am residing in Abu Dhabi. I wish to travel China for some business purpose. I have my brother in law studying there where I can stay. I wish to spend 15 days of my leave in China then go to India without returning to UAE from China.
What are the document formalities required to be processed.

You can apply in UAE showing your UAE resident visa. If you have invitation letter from the business partner, you can apply for F or M. But if not, you can apply for a tourist L instead providing an invitation letter from your brother-in-law as well as copies of his passport and residence permit. Round-trip ticket is required and the one back to India is ok. The regular processing takes about 4 working days.
