how can i get to shijiazhuang from xingtai?

Currently living in Xingtai.  I'm teaching English here.  There is not much to do, so I thought I could perhaps take a trip to the capital city to visit some bars and be entertained for a weekend or so.  Anyway, what is the best way to get to Shijiazhuang?  I know, by train... but.. how do I go about that?  I don't speak any Chinese..

I don't know where you exactly live in Xingtai. You can actually get to Xingtai East Railway Station. There you can take high speed trains to Shijiazhuang. Very convenient. By the way, I think your Chinese collegues might help you buy the tickets online. Or you can just buy it at the railway station and the board the train.
