1. You cannot miss the featured architecture and natural scenery there. The famous attractions are Sizihwan Scenic Area, Lotus Pool Lake, and Cheng Ching Lake. The local Liuhe Night Market is also worth a try!

Oh, so you are referring to Taipei? Ok then, you can have a return trip from/to Kaohsiung in a day. The high-speed trains between only takes 1.5-2h for a single journey.

I have planned to visit the cherry blossom at Alishan Mountain.
How long would the journey be from Look Hotel in Zhongzheng District to Mount Ali, one way?
Would a day trip be enough without to stay overnight?
What preparation is required for the cherry blossom trip?

Dear All and Andy, what would the weather be 21 - 26 March 2014?
This is to assist us in wearing the right clothing for daily travels.
Are there Muslim restaurants, shops or stalls within the vicinity of Look Hotel on Xiangyang Road in Zhongzheng District? I am a diabetic, do you also find bakeries selling whole meal or wholegrain breads in the area, so I do not have to bring from home.

Generally, it takes 6h or a little longer from your hotel to Ali Mountain, so one day is a little tight for a round-trip considering your visiting duration.

It will be a little cold in the afternoon or night, so you ar advised to take along coat! Except that, prepare a good camera for picture taking!

Generally, it will get warm in Taipei and Kaohsiung during that time, with the average temperature of 22-23C. However, there may be several lightly rainy days, so you'd better prepare an umbrella. Also you need to pay attention to the weather forecast in advance for your departure date!
