Hi I'm A new. Zealand citizen .I wanna go to Beijing for 1week just to visit my partner.would. I need a visa or am I alright.

You need to apply for a tourist L type in advance. Round-trip ticket and hotel reservation are required. But if you have an invitation letter from your partner and you will stay in his place, then hotel reservation is not required.
