About:Thousand Islets Lake (Qiandao Lake)

mobility , ferry boat, train and bus... getting from Shanghai to Huangshan

Hi experts, I am travelling with my familiy 2+2kids from Shanghai to Hangzhou by train. We stay one night there and plan to continue to Qian Dao Hu stay one night and continue by ferry boat (partially) to Huangshan.
Is this possible? Where to take boat, bus, etc.

Please help. Thanks.

Yes, it is possible.
From Shanghai to Hangzhou, I suggest you go to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to take high-speed train to reach. Then at Hangzhou West Bus Station, there are many buses to QianDaoHu. At Qiandaohu Port, take a ferry to Shendu Port (I remember there are only two ferries in service, at 06：30 and 12:30). Then you need to transfer to a bus to Xixian (歙县), then Tunxi and Huangshan scenic area.
