How to book train tickets from Shenzhen to Shantou? How long does it take?

I will be coming from HK .. then taking a train to Shenzhen. Would want to go to ST.

Firstly, I'd like to tell you that the train station near ST should be Chaoshan Station, which can be reached within 2.5h from Shenzhen by high-speed train. After arriving at Chaoshan Train Station, you can take a shuttle bus to ST city.
