About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Same city (Shanghai) different airports on transit (Hongqiao and Pu Dong airport)

Will the 72 hour visa-free transit apply to me if I am landing in Hongqiao airport in Shanghai for transit and departing 4.5hrs later at Pu Dong airport on the other side of Shanghai?

Hi, yes you can apply for free stay permit after arrival at Hongqiao airport. It is ok for use to leave from Pudong airport.
