Significant Minorities in Guangxi Province?

I am going to come to Yangshuo for three months, possibly four, to learn basic Chinese. In Guangxi Province, what are the significant Chinese Nationalities, their village or town, and their Festivals and the date of each festival?

Zhuang people takes a large percent of the total population of Guangxi. The famous legendary singer Liu Sanjie is from Zhuang minority. The important festivals are Devil Festival (July 14th of the lunar month), the Ox Soul Festival (April 8th of the lunar month) and the Singing Festival (March 3rd of the lunar month).

Do you mean "Chinese ethnics" by "Chinese nationalities"?

Hi Jingyi Li,

To answer your question, I think of them as ethnic minorities, 56 I believe. A Chinese friend of mine referred to them as nationalities, so I figured she knows better than I.

Thanks for your interest, even though I already went to China (2015) and failed miserably to learn basic Chinese. HA! However, I am going back to China and the Guangxi province and Hunan province in the summer/fall of 2017, and I still want to visit some of the minorities in Guangxi. So, any information you can provide would be appreciated.
