About:China Visa

Which visa will be best ?

I am American living in Japan I met my girlfriend here and she is Chinese but is moving back to china . I want to visit her at least three to four times a year and stay maybe one to two weeks each time . Does anyone know the proper one I need to obtain and how long it might take to obtain one if I go to the embassy say today?

Hi, if this is your first time to China, you can only apply for a single entry tourist L, with invitation letter from your gf. One year multiple entry L is the best, but it is difficult. I think you can apply for it later when you have at least two L in your passport.

The letter should contain:
1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
2. Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)
3. Information on the inviting individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)
