About:SG04-INTL

foreign grandmother of a Chinese baby, holding S1 visa visiting my another daughter working in china

i've got S1 to stay with my daughter who works in Beijing and at the same time i entered with my Chinese grandchild (with another daughter of mine who is married to a Chinese citizen but she is not in PRC). My worker daughter can give me "residence permit for private affairs" but she will not be working in PRC in 2 years. and i intend to stay for long time to raise my Chinese grandchild, so can i change my status and apply for "residence permit for family reunion" since i am a relative to a Chinese citizen without going outside ?

I am afraid that you should leave PRC and reapply for it.

Been here for 7 years, never heard of that, unless a resident permit was lost or damaged. I'm sure you must leave.
