About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hotel change, Do I have to let visa office know before visa issued?

Tourist visa application sent off 2 days ago. Now travel company have informed us they have changed hotel in Beijing. Will this matter?

I don't think it will affect your L type application.
