About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Do I need a multiple entry Visa to visit these cities?

I'm. From the Philippines and I plan to go to Beijing then to Shanghai then to Xian and will all use airplane for faster transportation. Since I will pass the airports and immigration do I need multiple entry one?
