Entry as Tourist on F Visa

I am US citizen living in Japan. I have an F for China as I make frequent visits for technical exchanges. I would like to go to China with my family for a short vacation. They will get L as Tourist.

Can I enter as a Tourist on my F Visa or must I obtain an additional L Visa?
