About:Chinese Embassy in Bahrain

filipno in bahrain wants to visit hongkong for 10 days...

Hi... good day! I want some clarification regarding what I read.. I am a filipino, " Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region CY Leung announces on 29 January 2014, the HKSAR Government will suspend the 14-day free visiting arrangement for Philippine diplomatic and official passport holders from February 5,To visit Hong Kong, holders of these passports will have to apply for a visa beforehand in accordance with normal procedures to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong or the Chinese Diplomatic and Consular Missions overseas.
now please I need an answer, I am a filipino but I'm here in bahrain for 10 years now, am I affected of this issue?

Yes, if you hold diplomatic or official passport of the Philippines.

No, you need to apply through Chinese embassy or consulate.

Hi again..... I called up your good office here in bahrain, and re confirmed about it.. and I learned that those who are filipino diplomats are the only require to get a visa to enter hong kong but the regular fil citizens are visa upon arrival.
Please let me know if this information is true. Thanks.

Hi Rose, it is true. Actally, regular passport holders enjoy visa free, they can get a landing slip for free stay of 14 days on arrival.
