chances of typhoon in early may in hong kong

I might be in HK from the 9th to the 13th of May. Would there be any chances of typhoon or heavy rain during those days?

Generally speaking, the typhoon season starts from around the May, but according to the previous records, it seldom occur in that city in the early May. However, if you are unlucky, you may meet one. It will not affect people's daily life if the grades of typhoon is not so high and you can choose to go to the shopping malls to have short visit. So in my opinion, you can keep attention to the latest weather forecast. If the typhoon may happen, you can rearrange your trip to go to some shopping centers. For the rain, you may easily meet the shower and it may last so long.
