About:China Work Visa

L and Z

I already have a job secured to begin August 2014 in Beijing. The employer in China will be taking care of the Z type before I arrive in August. I would like to take a trip as a tourist in March under an L type to visit friends and check out the city. Would this present problems with securing the Z type later?

I think you can apply for the L type and take the trip before you get your Z type. You know, a foreigner can only enter PRC with one valid visa. So please don't make your L type application affects your Z type one.
