About:China Visa Application in USA

My American son is living in Shen Zhen and having problems obtaining a work visa. We need guidance.

My son was working for an English teaching organization in Shen Zhen (teaches English to children). He was told they were getting him a work Z, which never came. The police came one day and questioned my son. He soon left his company and went to work for another company. When he went to apply for a work Z himself there, he was told his name was added to a list from the last job where he was not teaching with a work Z and they have refused to issue him a work issue. He is living over in Shen Zhen, loves the country and does not want to leave. I am his mother who is trying to help him resolve this. It appears that these organizations (English teaching companies) are telling young Americans they will get a work Z yet they are not getting them for these kids. Please help. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear this, but I have to say that to work not on a Z is illegal there. If his name was listed by police, then it is impossible for him to get a work Z within recent few years. Maybe he should leave and try to apply for a business type one outside of China.

Someone in the embassy told
My son to get a lawyer to help. Can a lawyer help with getting his name off the list and getting him a Z visa?

It may help, but this does not guarantee success.
