About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hong Kong visa application for Chinese

I am a Chinese student, studying in the States. I have a school program in March and we are planning to stay in Hong Kong for two days. I am writing to ask whether I need to get a visa to HK. If so, could you please tell me the process?

Hi, you need to apply for a HK enter permit from Chinese embassy or consulate in US. But if you make the HK trip a transit on your way back to mainland China, you are permited to stay in HK freely without visa.

Hi, I will stay in HK for one day and leave for the States then. Should I apply for a visa as well.

yes, you need to apply for a HK entry permit (visa) in this case.
