About:China Tourist Visa

visiting Guangzhou

I am going to visit Guangzhou for about 2 weeks in May flying from Chicago into Hong Kong and then to Guangzhou and I'm staying at a friends house. So do I need a visa?

Yes, you should apply for a L type one. If your friend sends you an invitation letter, then you needn't provide the round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation there.
