Late arriving flight, time to use Airport Express/MTR?

Hi. A group of 5 of us have a flight into HK arriving 23:25 on a Friday. Does that leave enough time before the last train to go get our bags from baggage claim, hit the ATM, buy train tickets, and catch the train to Kowloon? Our hotel is Hotel Panorama, exit N1 from Tsim Sha Tsui station. It sounds like we would need to take Airport Express to Lai King station, then change to the Tseun Wan line to get to Tsim Sha Tsui station on MTR, right?

When we purchase the single-trip AE tickets at the airport, do we purchase a single ticket to get to Tsim Sha Tsui, or are the AE and MTR legs tickets separate? Do we purchase both at the airport, or do we buy the MTR ticket when we change trains at Lai King station?

We actually have 2 nights in HK before our cruise leaves the next day. If the AE ticket is separate from the MTR ticket, we might buy the 1-day MTR tourist pass to complete the ride from the airport, and utilize the pass throughout the next day.

Lastly, can we use a US credit card (non-chip) to buy the AE and MTR tickets? Or only cash?

Well this is annoying... I just found out that you can't get off of the AE at Lai King, thus necessitating TWO train changes to get from the airport to Tsim Sha Tsui, or even East Tsim Sha Tsui. You'd think one of the two lines would have either direct or 1-change access to get from the airport to the biggest tourist hotel area in HK! That's disappointing, especially dragging a bunch of luggage from the airport.

Frustrating.

I did find the last train times (the MTR android app is much better than the website). Says the last train would need to be caught by 00:16 from the airport. That's cutting it awfully close for a scheduled 23:25 plane arrival. Anyone know how long it typically takes to claim luggage late on a Friday night there?

It's a shame, because I just found that I can order AE tickets and MTR visitor tickets by mail and have them in hand, which would save us the time of buying them there. But I don't think I dare do that since if the plane is even 15 minutes late then we miss the last train. Probably only be able to take the AE if we land early. Looks like we're stuck getting 2 taxis.

As I know, the last train of Airport Express leaves arounf 00:48 from the airport, so you can surely catch that after landing. Generally, it takes around half an hour to pick up your luggage and get out of the airport. Don't worry!

Anyway, to avoid taking taxi and transfering on the way, you can use airport overnight shuttle bus to travel. Bus no, N21 can take you to Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Nathan Road in 80min. Upon getting there, you can easily walk to your hotel.
