Can you leave the airport (Xiamen) whilst in transit. I have a Z visa and my wife has S1 visa.

We don't want to wait 8 hours in Xiamen airport for our connecting flight. We would like to leave the airport and see Xiamen to kill the time.

You can as long as you have your valid Z and your wife S1 visa. You can't have both visas for each individual.
