Please do not think that way. First of all, dogs can be great companions for each other regardless of gender, age, and relationship. There is maternal love between you which can help with overcoming differences in character. The time and the place someone is born also play parts ( year and month are not the only factors ). Last but not least, the way and environment a person is brought up in can change them completely. So instead of focusing on a negative prediction of not being compatible, take good care of your son and show him as much love as you can and I'm sure he will do the same for you.
