chinese visa for us citizen living in spain

Hello, I´m a US Citizen living in Spain and I´m currently in the process of moving to China. I would like to know if it´s possible to get my Z from the Chinese Embassy in Madrid or if I have to travel back to the US to get it.

Yes, as long as you have valid certificates of residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal stay provided by the relevant authorities of Spain for application.
