About:China Tourist Visa

My son and I ( both Canadians) will visit Shanghai for five days in March. do we need visas?

Yes, both of you should apply for a L type. If you can acquire an invitation letter from a Chinese or any foreigner who stays in mainland China, then you needn't prepare for the round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation.
