Canada Permanent Resident with Philippine Passport

I booked a flight with China Eastern Airlines via Shanghai Pudong going to Manila. I am a Philippine passport holder with Canadian PR status. Im going to Manila for vacation but because of connecting flight to Shanghai I choose a 2 day interval connecting flight to see the tourist spots and tour shanghai. Do I need to obtain China Visa?

Yes, you need to apply for a tourist L or transit G in advance if your stopover in Shanghai is longer than 24 hours.
