About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does a layover in flight affect use of Visa Free Transit?

We are traveling from Busan, S Korea to Beijing for two days, then from Beijing to Osaka, Japan for 3 days but with a 2 hour layover in Seoul. Can we still use the Free Transit program with the layover in Korea?

Hi, you need to apply for a transit G or tourist L in advance for this trip. Above itinerary does not apply to this free transit.
