About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Would like ti visit Beijing, so does visa needed?

We are Canadian flying back home from Austrealia connecting in Bankock and then flying to Beijing. We will be sightseeing in Beijing for 60 hours . Will we need a V? The internet states that in 2013 if staying in Beijing for less than 72 hours it is not necessary to have a one. if we do need one, were would do we go in Toronto to apply for one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, you can enjoy 72 hour free transit in Beijing as long as you have flight ticket leaving within 72 hours from Beijing airport. It is easy for you to do so. The free transit permit will be issued upon arrival. With this permit, you are able to travel within Beijing.
