Transit via Beijing : do i need visa for visiting near places the airport ?

Hi, i am Colombian citizen living and working in the Uk , in april in travelling to Thailand via Beijing both going and returning; what type of V ( if needed) should I apply for visiting beijing touristic places under a 24 hour period on two reparate dates ( away and return transit flights) ?
