Is it possible to obtain a visitor's visa to visit Shanghai by February 18 with the CNY holiday?

Would it be possible to obtain a visitor's visa to visit SH in less than five weeks?

The trip would be from Singapore to SH from February 20-Febraury 25, 2014. (I am currently an American passport holder, living in Singapore as a dependent pass holder.)

Since it is Chinese New Year time, would it be possible to accomplish obtaining a visitor's visa in time for this trip.

Hi, you can apply for a Chinese tourist visa in Singapore if you hold dependent pass there. Be note that you should apply through CVASC there. The processing takes 4 working days only.
