About:Chengdu Travel

I hae to chose between 2 directions, Yunnan and Chengdu after Lhasa. HELP

I Have to chose between Yunnan minority villages and the area of CD, Leshan, Guiyang minority areas.
Flying from Lhasa, and needing to end up in Hangzhou....which is best for cultural experiences. I know it is impossible to find "authentic" anything with all the tourists, but I want to meet the locals. We are 2 ladies traveling and hope to do it on our own. Zero Chinese. Thanks for your help.

If you want to enjoy the most local culture, it is suggested to CD, Leshan and minority areas in Guizhou Province.
Trasnportation is much convenient for reaching Guizhou Province.

Thank you for your opinion. I needed that direction. Any comments as to which villages have the best cultural experience?

For Guizhou, the Qiandongnan area is highly recommended. For instance, you can go to the Kaili, Xijiang, Zhenyuan and Zhaoxing. The scenery is pretty nice and the local culture is best preserved.
