3 days in hong kong, staying on hk island: octopusairport express?

Question

My friend and I will be arriving in HK airport around midnight on a Wednesday and leave early Saturday morning.  It looks like late night trips (like ours from the airport) will include buses. Does the AE Card work on buses? If not, can an Octopus card be purchased at the airport?

You must refer to AE (Airport Express) Travel Pass. Expect being used on MTR and AE, it can be used on MTR bus, but you cannot use it on the airport shuttle buses. Therefore, you are suggested to get a standard octopus card, which can be bought at the AE Ticketing Office at the airport.
