China Trip ending in HK

I am looking to plan a trip to China in late August 2014. We are planning on ending our trip in HK, since our son graduates from school at that time. So we have 8 days to see China prior to graduation. So I am open to suggestion. I have to see the Great Wall and as my son tells me China is changing, so if I could get a look at the past before it all changes I would love it. I follow a Buddhist path, so temple are of interest, but I am not a vegetarian. So what do you suggest and I am looking for 4 stars or better as far a accommodations.

I'm very glad to hear you'd visit our country. In my opinion, the great wall is deserved to travel. As far as food is concerned, most of chinese aren't vegetarians, so you can eat meat in every restraunt. These years china changes very quickly. Another city I want to recommend is Xi'an, which is a ancient city as the capital of six dynasties.
Hope you have a nice trip in china.

I would too, but it is too expensive. For now I just stick with virtual tours and images. I love Chinese food and their/your religion/culture is awesome!!! It is cool to talk to someone who is really from China:)
