My mother in law is in china currently on a 1 entry Q visa. We plan to visit Indonesia...

We will visit Indonesia and then return to China. After 5 days she will fly to dubai. Her Q is only 1 entry so will have expired, and we are outside of the 72hour free period. Can we apply for her to have this L or G type while still in China, or can we add another entry to the current one? What is the best option if the flight cannot be changed to fit the 72hour period?
