Getting a work visa in Thailand?

At the end of the month I will have to exit PRC to apply for a Z type and then re-enter. I have all the documents, invitation letter etc, it's a basic run. I was just thinking, is it possible to do that in Thailand, rather than in Hong Kong?

I am afraid that you should go back to your own country to apply for the Z type. Some people in the same situation like you were asked to apply for the Z type in their own countries.
