applying for chinese visa for business trip

My friend is an Indian Passport holder working in the UK on a work Visa, he needs to travel to China for Business trip what will he need to do regarding getting one to cover the trip.

He has to provide an invitation letter from Chinese partner, entities or individuals, a letter of explanation on himself or the company he works for excluding his passport, completed application form affixed with a recent passport size photo. Sometimes, the embassy might require another invitation letter or a letter of invitation confirmation from the duly authorized Chinese unit.
