Chinese tourist visa for an Italian citizen

I reside in Sardegna, how can I apply from your consulate? Do I have to come directly to Rome or can I do this through a travel agency? Appreciate your feedback on this matter

If you can't come in person to apply for it, you can assign a friend, family or agency to submit your application for you.
