About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

London-Shanghai-Tokyo... 2 weeks later Tokyo-Shanghai-London

Can I fly in and out of Shanghai twice in 2 weeks? It is cheaper for me to buy a ticket From UK to Shanghai and then visit northern Asia from Shanghai. I will Return to Europe through shanghai 2 weeks later. So the question us.... Can I gain entry through Shanghai twice in 2 weeks?

Personally, I think you can enjoy 72 hours free transit in Shanghai in two weeks. However, the immigration officer has the final say on whether you will be granted with 72 hours free transit. If the officer thinks you make use of the policy to avoid applying Chinese visa, then you won't be allowed to enjoy 72 hours free transit.
