Hi, it is around 380km between Pingyao and DT city. To take a car or taxi to get there, it takes around 3.5h. As most taxis charge by meters, it may be costly, so you are suggested to hire a car for this trip and it may cost CNY1,000-1,200 or more.  And it will be doable to visit Hanging Monastery on the way.
