Generally speaking, it is a direct trip, but there are many others stations on the way. Therefore, the train will stop for some time (from several minutes to at most forteen minutes), during which you are not allowed to get off the train for eating and bathing which can be done onboard. Since it shall be a long-term journey, you'd better prepare some drink, food and snacks in advance, because the goods on the trains are generally much more expensive.
