Are there day trip tours to see the Pandas from Chengdu?

Yes, there is and you can generally join that in a travel agency or a hotel. However, personally speaking, it is not necessary to join a day trip at all. You can totally handle that by yourself and the taxi fare from the city to the Panda Research Center is around 30RMB only.
