About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will be my itinerary available for 72 hours visa free transit?

I want to go to shangai for 3 days via bangkok. If i make this itinerary will i be allowed the entry? Bangkok - shangai (stay less than the 72 hours) - hong kong (2/3 days) - bangkok?
