About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

I am applying for a visa for PRC, should I apply for one for Hong Kong also?

I have a Pakistani passport and travelling to Shekou via Hong Kong. Other in my company travelling are taking flight into Hong Kong and take the ferry to Shekou. They say I would not have to pass through passport control prior to ferry terminal.

Yes, you should apply one for HK first. I am afraid that you might have trouble when entering Shenzhen. You know, Pakistanis are not allowed to apply for individual L type. Therefore, I don't think you will be granted with an individual L type in HK.

I have applied and received a 1 year Multiple entry individual L visa for PRC in the past. I will be at the PRC consulate tomorrow so I will inquire re HKSAR also and post results.
