Hi there, we will be staying in SH (the Bund) for a few days. we were thinking of visiting one of the water town near by. Which do you recommend? What is the best and convenient way to get there? Is there any must do when visiting these water town? We will be in SH 24th - 27th Dec. Do you have a day trip available to these water towns?

In my opinion, I prefer Tongli much. From SH General Long-distance Bus Station, there are direct buses for Tongli. The buses are at 09:40, 10:20, 11:10, 12:00, 15:00, 16:20 and 17:10. The bus journey takes about 2 hours. The bus station is at No. 1162, Zhongxing Road. The one-day trip is possible to that town. in the town, the Tuisi Garden, Three Bridges, Luoxing Islet, Pine&Rock Enlightenment Garden and Xiaodian Lake Forest Park are worth seeing.
